Though I don’t plan on having my own little ones for some time, it’s hard to resist all of the fun projects the rascals inspire! These baby bibs just added to the shop started as a project for a friend and I had so much fun with the little embellishments, I quickly did more. I just love how the Rubber Ducky turned out! What with my lack of drawing skills, I have to say I impressed myself with this embroidery design. And the Ant Love Birds make me giggle and are a bit less expected in the baby isle. Don’t forget to scroll to the bottom for a musical interlude!
The nitty-gritty: These embroidered baby bibs are made of 100% cotton with a flannel backing for softness. They have a sturdy back snap and can be machine washed and dried. Each measures approximately 7.25″ by 9″. While I have designed the embroidery and chosen the fabrics, the initial pattern is from the lovely Amy Karol. This is an original design by Amy Karol from her book Bend-the-Rules Sewing published by Potter Craft, 2007
Which do you like? I hope to be making more soon with other designs. I am liking this idea of slightly less expected patterns and embellishments. Any suggestions?
As promised: I can’t have a rubber ducky without acknowledging the ultimate ducky authority (and my personal favorite for many years), Ernie.
